I know, I know... no excuses!
I'll just get to the point....
what is my point???
I forgot...
oh yeah!
I'm updating the blog.... yep thats it.
Happy now? lol!
I'll write something in the near.... future.... unless someone wants to step up and post about a movie or something... yeah didn't think so. Haha!
High School and College tend to do that.... take you one day, when you least expect it and take your brain and brain wash it of all blogging memories and fix you to only focus on school, parties, sleeping, and other such things that don't concern blogging. :-| I'm serious people.... if it hasn't happened yet to you, you have been warned!
So, this is my brain, fighting the battle between School and Blogging saying beware!! It is a very difficult battle, that still goes on day to day...
Oh and I did hear rumor that Facebook is doing something similar too.. except they want you to FEEL bad about neglecting your blogs! So, be on the look out for them as well. ;)
Until next time... my brave.... or dead bloggers...

Passed
Hey ya'll!!
Been too long since the last post! Sorry about that! Updates! Obama is our NEW PRESIDENT! Please pray for the unborn and born, all I have to say about that. I passed my Drivers test!!! I took the test this last Monday, and I got to drive myself to work and school Tuesday, and Thursday. It was quite fascinating, I must say! Work has been interesting. Some of the people I work with are jerks.. (you always get one or two in a new job..). But I loove the kids!! They keep me smiling everyday.
Other exciting news for most Teenage Girls out there.. maybe some guys. Twilight the Movie is out! Yes, very exciting for some of us... and yet totally annoying for others. But that is OKAY! So, I have no idea what I shall do, waiting and waiting this thanksgiving until everyone goes back to school. (best seats in the morning on a school day!!) Hey! I'm Charter! Its like.. homeschooling.. sort of. ANYways!!! My grandfather had surgery on Tuesday and did amazing! I talked to him yesterday and he sounded like himself. So hopefully I will get my mommy back this weekend!! YAAY! (can you tell I'm desperate??) :-p
Besides DMV Test, PNew President, Twilight, and Grandpa.. nothing really else has been happening. Oh! And we have a WHOLE week off this year for Thanksgiving. Jealous?? ;-)
I'll update in December.. maybe about all your Christmas Wish List's..
HAPPY EARLY THANKSGIVING!!
~Shan
p.s. what are you thankful for??

Special Education
Sorry its taken me sooo long to post on here. I started my first job at a Child Development Center right next to my school. Which I just love! I work with the special education department and work one on one with the kids either in the classroom, or playground. Just within the couple of days I have been there, I have learned so much! I love the kids, and my boss reminded to actually today, that it will be hard when they have to leave. So don't get too attached! (YIKES! TOO LATE!) ;-)
All the kids call me "Teacher Shannon" and some speak Spanish as well. (thank you SO MUCH SENORA CAPUTO for teaching me Spanish!) So I can converse and understand what some of the kids want as well. My teacher was right, you will use Spanish in your career where ever you go.
Alright what else... My madre's birthday was last week. 4* years old!! whoo! Also, Halloween is coming up. So SLOW FOR THE CHILDREN all you drivers out there! (lol! like.. slow for the cone zone.. instead its slow for children... yeah okay I'm done.)
On another note, school is great! I have so much fun at the JC in Folsom! Its sooo much easier then High School. I'd rather take junior college classes over High school classes ANY day. :-D
Thats it for now... another update probably next month.. Start thinking about what YOU are thankful for! (HINT HINT!)

We Will NEVER Forget
Seven years ago today, the World Trade Center was attacked... America was attacked. We will never forget that day. I'm sure most of you remember what you were doing that morning. Either just getting up, going to the gym, going to work, or starting your school day. I remember my parents waking my siblings and I up and telling us to watch the news. I didn't quite understand what was going on, but when I saw my parents' faces, I knew it wasn't good. Let's pray for all those people who died that day today, and remember their families.
Thanks,
~Shan

GET TO WORK!
So I've been doing school for a couple weeks now, and have come to realize that we aren't in summer anymore. Haha, school is hard! lol! I sound like a baby. But I accomplished my mission today by finishing Geometry for the week. (*sigh* feels so good) I feel like singing that song by James Brown, I FEEL GOOD! dunna dunna dun! SO GOOD! dun, dun!.. yeah okay. But, I want to talk about schedules. (boooring I know)
But hey! Its better to lay it all out and see what you have for the week. Because you know, organization is important in a successful life (Haha! College Success does that to you..).
My week sort of looks like this...
Mon: U.S. History Class
English 3 Class
Geometry
Tues: Geometry
Geography
English 3
Health
College Success Class
Wed: Geometry Class
Geometry
U.S. History
Geography
Thur:English 3
Geography
Geometry
Health
College Success Class
Fri: Geometry Class
Meeting w/Teacher
Sat: Sleep In
Sun: Mass
Yep, my life every week. But if I don't keep to my schedule... dooms day all over again. But I stay with it.. haha pretty much. :-p Hope you all had a wonderful Labor Day Weekend! Now... GET TO WORK! (talking to me mostly.. ) lol!

Turin
Sorry its been awhile! School started and yes, I WAS procrastinating down loading over 1000 pictures. But I did conquer and now... to share some with ya'll. Which is going to take sometime. Unless you are on Facebook! Then you have seen at least.. half. lol! Sorry! One of my goals before Christmas is too make an album.. or a few and send them back to Italy. Great moments shared over there. Well anyways, on to other news, McCain picked Paulin! Thats big and awesome news. (oops.. breaking my own rule. No politics. :-p). School starts for most of you.. yes tomorrow! So good luck to you all, and have fun learning! Its a wonderful gift yet hard to understand and keep sometimes. I stared school already on the 11th. Let me tell you, I was NOT ready. Anyways, I changed the Blog's template. I needed something fresh to start the new school year with, hope you all don't mind. Whoever is a contributor I think can make some changes. Don't know though. Alright well thats it for now. I'll post some pics of Lake Como and then Rome when I get another break. (by the way, pray for Conor this weekend, he starts football in Reno, and we're all a wittle worried of our baby.) ;-)

Rosingo

First couple of days in Italy we spent in the peaceful little village of Rosingo with our cousins, Vanda and Leandro. The food was fantastic. All fresh and right from Leandro's garden. I told my grandma that when I retire someday, that I would want to live in Rosingo. Hearing the church bells every 15 minutes and all the nature of Rosingo was truly a wonderful experience. Here are a few pictures of the view from some 1oth century castles and churches we visited, but couldn't stay because they were owned by a private family.
More to come soon of Turin..
Ciao!

Here and there...
Cioa!!
I arrived safely back in Atlanta yesterday from Milan with my grandma. It took about 4 hours to arrive in Utah. Now I'm here with my cousin Hannah and kickin' it up here and enjoying the family and shopping like crazy. I hardly have any room left in my suitcase! HELP! lol! Hannah says Hello and misses ya'll! Italy was amazing! I truly loved it there. The family over there were so kind and loving. Saluti Tutti! Hello to EVERYONE! Missed everyone so much!
I gotta go now. I'm on a mission to feed Hannah. Uncle Pat called and said for me to feed her since she's... SOOO HUNGRY!
So will updated and share pics later. (I took over 1000... be prepared!) lol!

Horrible Blogging
Hello Everyone,
I apologize for my horrible blogging here on Shan's blog. She so wonderfully left me in charge and I have not posted a single thing! So this will be kind of a random post but at least its a post right? Tuesday night was Hell's Kitchen, final 3. The final 3 were Corey, Petrozza, and Christina. Christina won the personal challenge for the third time in a row and got to tour LA with Chef Ramsey and her parents. Dinner service went ok but in the end Corey left. Leaving Christina and Petrozza as the final 2. Chef Ramsey's head chef of his new resturaunt will be chosen this coming Tuesday. I personally like Christina better although I wouldn't really mind if Petrozza won either. :-p Wednesday was very boring, for me at least. Thursday I heard from Shannon, she had gotten to Milan safely and was in some little town called Rosingo or something with her cousins. Friday was also boring for me, yeah I lead a very boring life. haha! Yesterday we had a party for my mom and brother Dominic. I heard from Shannon again yesterday. She sounded great and was having a wonderful time! She will be going to Rome on Tuesday and then she will be back in the states the following Monday. She will spend some time in Utah and then be back saturday!!!!!! :-D Last night I saw Get Smart and I highly reccomend that you see it because it is really funny! Ok, well I am done with my rambling. This barely does Shannon's great blog any credit but at least it is something right? Enjoy....

When in Rome...
Ciao Bloggers! I'll be leaving next week for Italy with my grandma. Some of my packing is done. But I still have a ways to go. I'll be keeping all of you in my prayers while I'm there. I'll be back before school starts so we'll still have time to chill. ;-)
I was wondering if you could keep me in your prayers while I'm gone... I just have to get to Atlanta safely then I'll be with my grandma. So I hope you all are having a great summer! And we will definitely party when I get back! Oh! And cross your fingers! I might get to see the Pope! :-D
Oh and I'm leaving Heidi in charge of my blog while I'm away. So if there are any problems.. go to her. I'll be lost in translation and wont have a computer while over there..
God Bless, and thanks!

Luke Menard
Alright, so I have a question. How do you say "Luke Menard"?
Would you say it like "Luke MenERD"
Or "Luke MEEnard"
Or "Luke MenARD" ??
And if you want to know how he is.. he was on American Idol. Like the Top 24 or something like that. I guess he has Cancer and FOX 40 was doing a story on him and the anchor women asked how you say his name.. we thought it was "Luke MenARD"
Oh and today is St. Philip Neri's feast day! And when I was Baptized! :-D

Hell's Kitchen/Moment of Truth
Numerous things have happened. Today, I finally got my passport! And it only took a week! Which shocked me. Anyways tomorrow night I'm helping out with ushering for my school's graduation. And getting community service for it. So I'm happy about that since I need 50 hours before I graduate. And I just need to finish up an English Asst and then I'm done!
I also took my Spanish Final today and passed the class! Which I'm very happy about. So now I just have to worry about getting a job, and traveling, and all that jazz. Oh, also the heat. Since my padre took down the tree in our neighbors yard (for the solar panels), my room has been staying at 90 degrees and getting hotter (that tree was my only way of surviving every summer with its shade during the afternoon). So now I must keep my room on total lock down.
Alright, now I would like to talk about Hell's Kitchen. I've been watching the past couple of weeks, and man! If you want to get stressed or want to become stressed or upset, thats the show to watch. That show is so intense! The one thing I don't really like is all the language. They bleep it out of course, but you don't know what their saying because they bleep so much! lol! Thats our society I guess...
and whats funny is that its always on after American Idol so for all those 12 year olds watching AI then all of a sudden watch Hells Kitchen start acting the same way. I mean that show has a BIG impact on people. Your mood changes after it because you get so upset and stressed because Chef yells at everyone and anything and pushes them all to the limit to see what they can handle and deserve to run his new restaurant in L.A.
I just don't think its worth it.. to be yelled at like that and be humiliated. Its like the Army!
Its like that one show that was on called "Moment of Truth" basically telling all your secrets on TV and confessing to the public of stuff you did from cheating, to stealing, to lying, to everything!
And the thing is, the ratings for that show are high! Its returning next Tuesday or something like that. After 2 or 3 months their back on. And I have to say, some of those episodes are not for 13 or younger for sure. My dad and I watched one and were shocked they ruined a marriage on TV like that with one couple. Just with a lie detector. Anyways, I'd like to know your thoughts on this Television show and see what you think. Because I think its very interesting why people tune into it. My father didn't want any of us watching it when it began. First off it doesn't show responsibility, and these people are just wackos who messed up their lives ad doesn't send a good message to the kids out there when they see those contestants win 5000 and the audience congratulating then and applauding. What does that say to people out there?
I mean, no ones perfect.. but do you have to publicize your problems all over and show how much of an idiot you are? Anyways those are my thoughts for the day.
Peace,
~Shan

Thanks, and hopefully David will win (not saying who.. because both are great and I hope they do a great job tonight!)

Superchick - Hero
No one sits with him, he doesn't fit in
But we feel like we do when we make fun of him
Cause you want to belong do you go along?
Cause his pain is the price paid for you to belong
It's not like you hate him or want him to die
But maybe he goes home and thinks suicide
Or he comes back to school with a gun at his side
Any kindness from you might have saved his life
[Tag:]
Heroes are made when you make a choice
[Chorus:]
You could be a hero
Heroes do what's right
You could be a hero
You might save a life
You could be a hero, You could join the fight
For what's right for what's right for what's right
No one talks to her, she feels so alone
She's in too much pain to survive on her own
The hurt she can't handle overflows to a knife
She writes on her arm, wants to give up her life
Each day she goes on is a day that she is brave,
Fighting the lie that giving up is the way,
Each moment of courage her own life she saves
When she throws the pills out a hero is made
[Tag]
[Chorus]
No one talks to him about how he lives
He thinks that the choices he makes are just his
Doesn't know he's a leader with the way he behaves
And others will follow the choices he's made
He lives on the edge, he's old enough to decide
His brother who wants to be him is just nine
He can do what he wants because it's his right
The choices he makes change a nine year old's life
[Chorus]
Little Mikey D. was the one in class who everyday got brutually harassed
This went on for years until he decided that never again would he shed another tear
So he walked through the door, grabbed a four four out of his father's dressing drawer
And said I can't take life no more
And like that life can be lost
But this ain't even about that
All of us just sat back and watched it happen
Thinkin' it's not my responsibility to solve a problem that isn't about me
This is our problem
This is just one of the daily scenarios which we choose to close our eyes
Instead of doing the right thing
If we make a choice and be the voice for those who won't speak up for themselves
How many lives would be saved, changed, rearranged
Now it's our time to pick a side
So don't keep walkin' by
Not wantin' to intervene
Cause you wanna exist and never be saved
So let's wake up and change the world
Our time is now
[Chorus]
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This song really meant a lot to me personally. Because a lot of kids don't realize how much harm they do to other kids when they tease or have make-fun of other kids. Especially at my school and many other schools. You should always be the better person and be charitable. There are many other people out there who could actually need you, and who need to talk with you. Don't be afraid. :-)
Just a little note.
Chem 305
Alright so just took my Algebra, World History, English 2, and Biology Test this week. Monday I just have my Spanish final which I would appreciate some prayers. Thats the one subject that I have some trouble right.. shockingly since I've miss a few classes to travel to Boston. I just figured out my situation next fall. Which will be Geometry, U.S. History, Geography, English 3, Chemistry, and another elective which I must choose later.
So, I'm a little nervous since (hopefully) I'll be taking Chem at the JC. And my madre took it and almost died. So I'll only take it for a semester which will be sooo nice. Instead of a full year like Bio at the college. ugh.. lol!
So I just have ONE week left of school. And I'm so freakin' excited! Today I had to do a Bio Lab Test at the College, and it was SO much fun. Because my teacher had an earthworm, and a Crayfish open and we had to identify the organs and everything. So hopefully I passed that since I enjoyed dissecting it when we had those labs earlier this month. Good times.. !!
Going totally out of the subject right now.. but what do you think or David Archuleta and David Cook facing it off next this coming week on American Idol? I TOTALLY am voting for David Cook no matter what. Because, he is so worth it and he has a GREAT voice. David Archuleta does too.. but I sort of feel like I'm in the 90's every time he sings because he ALWAYS sings Ballads and when he sings R&B.. he just ruins the song. No offense. I mean when he sang "With You" by Chris Brown, my dad was going crazy because he thought it was great. But, he never heard the song before and I did.. and I thought he.. killed it. I really don't want to hear that song again now.
Anyways, So Both Davids will sing... who will win? Who do YOU think deserves to be.. the next.. AMERican IDol. :-p
Big News, Boring News, Huge News.. yeah.
I'm just gonna write again.. (prepare to be bored..). So, I'm just going to write about my weekend and week so far. I went to Peteluma and hung out with my cousin and grandparents. Tyler and I mostly just hung out in the back room at our grandparents watching TV and calling random people and talking to them.. also playing music on the best speakers on earth. :-D
We went to my cousin Michael's First Holy Communion which was very nice. St. Vincent's church is VERY beautiful and big. I just wish that we could have a church like that for the Latin Mass. Anyways, all the children who received our Lord dressed their best and behaved very well. Father gave a very nice sermon and sort of went down to the kids level of understanding and really did a good job.
After that, I had a bit of a hard time driving with all the signals there. I mean, when it turns green on some, you have to wait to turn left and move slllooowwwlllyyy out and wait for the oncoming cars to go across.. it was.. scary. lol! My grandpa and I dropped Tyler off at his baseball game on Sunday afternoon and we .. sort of got "lost". I'd ask where to go, and he would just say "Just turn here.. I think". So we basically had a wonderful time trying to find the house again after taking some wrong turns ect. It was fun though, spending some quality time with him, teaching me stuff on how to turn and different signals, and then contradicting my turns.. which wasn't very nice. :-p But I had a great weekend with my family. Saturday night Tyler, Conman and I went swimming and had a blast goofing off and waking up the neighbors. Good times...
Mother's Day was a lot of fun. We went to St. James church (the church where my parents were married, and where I was baptized). And saw the same priest who married my parents and baptized me. Then we went to the Elks Club. Had brunch there and then headed back to my grandparents house. We sat around chillin' and talking to everyone...
And then I got the phone call. My father (he went to his mother's house for Mothers Day) called me earlier in the day asking when I got out of school and what day I got back. I was a little confused but decided to forget it. Then my grandmother called later and asked if I wanted to go to Italy with her. I would have to do some hard labor at her house for a week for it. Of course I was freaking out and said yes. So I guess my cousin is getting married in Como, Italia and she wanted a Travel Companion. So after I get out of school I'll head over to her house and help around her house and do some projects ect. I just handed in all my papers for my passport and I'm very excited. So I'll be getting that in about two weeks (ha, right when I get out of school!). My grandma said that she and I will be able to go to Rome for 3 days and visit the Vatican ect. The one place though which I have been wanting to go every since I knew of his name is St. Philip Neri. Can you believe that I would want to go there first before the Vatican?? But, its true. I made a promise to myself that I once I hit Rome, I would go straight to St. Philip Neri.
He has been a great influence in my life and helped me out a lot through my life. So yeah I basically HAVE to see him and his church. But I'm truly grateful to my Grandma for giving me this opportunity. I'll be gone for two weeks tops. And I'll be able to see all the cousins!
Anyways, I think thats everything that has happened.. well there is Spanish but thats another post I'll get into later.
Peace!
It feels so good..
Freedom is just around the corner, I can feel the tension around me when I sit with my fellow students all sitting working their hearts out (well.. maybe not as hard) on school work; waiting for that day to come. Yes, that day to come, May 23rd when we turn in that last piece of work for the week, and watch a movie and have a pizza party and enjoy the next few months ahead of us. Yeah, freedom is just around the corner.
Okay, so while I blabbering on about School.. I was thinking how thankful I am for being on schedule and not missing any assignments for school (otherwise.. no credits!). Truly, work does pay off. Some of the kids at my school have to take Summer School to make up their work.. for not doing their work during the school year. But, let me tell you how wonderful that feeling is when you are two weeks away and you have no late work to turn in or redo. Its unbelievable how much work you put in and realize how much you did, seeing that pile of papers.. yes that was your work from all year, and then facing that glorious day.. May 23rd. When you don't have to look at another teacher, student, binder, or school book again, is so amazing. :-D
Sorry if I'm going over board. I'm just so glad that I can finally relax and not have to worry or stress if I have everything or haven't forgotten anything or realized that, THAT TEST was THIS week!? lol!
Yeah, anyways.. I hope you all will be able to enjoy this summer and enjoy your family and friends.. I've neglected alot of that for school. And I'm truly sorry.. (But God comes first.. then school. :-p)
Peace out and have a GREAT summer!
